Stress Mastery: How to Use Loving Kindness to Enhance Your Well-being (workshop)

How your body responds to stress may be as individual as your jeans size!

Yet, what we do know is prolonged, chronic stress levels can wreak havoc on the body.  Being chronically stressed out is like a short circuit that influences your brain, body, and overall sense of well-being.

It can be critical for your physical, mental, and emotional health to know how to respond to stress.  Understanding your specific relationship with stress and being armed with the tools to combat excess stress levels in the body is crucial for positive well-being.

We know from ancient healing modalities and modern research that mindfulness-oriented practices can boost overall well-being.  Furthermore, many of these same practices can help you keep stress levels in better balance.

Stress can be pervasive and we may have not been taught how to handle it.

The effects that prolonged, chronic stress has on the body are no joke. Psychological stress has the potential to negatively impact your immune system function, mental well-being, digestion, metabolic health, body weight, and more! Furthermore, stress may contribute to a range of health dysfunction and diseases.

Stress is a nonspecific response to something we perceive as a threat. Prolonged chronic stress has been referred to as America’s #1 health problem. It is estimated that 55% or more Americans feel stressed out daily.

According to Harris Poll, the top sources of psychological stress are related to economic factors, such as inflation, supply chain issues, and global security. Circumstances related to employment were also a lead contributor to stress in the day-to-day.

People who responded to polling surveys indicated relationship strains resulting from the effects of daily stress. It is estimated that approximately 50-60% of people consider psychological stress to be a challenge to professional and personal relationships. Also, 7 out of 10 believe work-related stress contributes to strain in their personal relationships.

Our newest stress mastery workshop is focused on your overall well-being!

In this Stress Mastery workshop, we will explore mindfulness and stress management exercises, such as the Loving-Kindness approach. (Yogis may know this as part of Metta).

We will also take a soiree into the role of positive versus negative emotions in stress and overall well-being.  This exploration of emotional health will include reflective exercises to help you address your balance of emotions, which can boost your well-being.
